Welcome To Coast 2 Coast Cooking's Blog!

If you have a recipe you'd like to share please leave it via a comment. Here is our first recipe on the blog, it's a recipe my mom always use to make when I was a kid.


*Peanut Butter Cookies*

(Can be filled with preserves, cherries or chocolate chips)

- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1/2 Cup Packed Brownsugar
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Smooth Peanut Butter
- 1/2 Cup Butter Or Margarine, Softened
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

- Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
- Set Aside
- In large bowl combine sugars, add peanut butter and butter
- Beat until smooth and creamy(I beat with a fork)
- Add egg and vanilla, mix
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour
- Shape dough into 1" balls
- Place on cookie sheet, 1 1/2" apart
- Make indent in center with wooden spoon handle
- Bake in 375& oven 10-12 minutes

*Will be soft, cool till able to lift off sheet to rack

*Makes 5 Dozen
